Just finished Challenge 4 Africa - It took me a while to get started, Africa is such a large continent with a lot of diversity. I am loving these challenges as they are getting out of my comfort zone and trying new things. Here is my entry for Challenge 4:

I am participating in the International Tournament of Arts and Crafts 2017. Getting inspired by the challenges posted.

Challenge 1 is from Europe...I found a photo in a magazine with a map of Rome and two people on scooter.




The following is Challenge 2 Asia, I found this photo of my mom taken at the Bellegio during Chinese New Year:



Chalenge 3 Oceania - I love the ocean always have, being from southern California and spent many summers at the beach. This challenge submission was inspired by a Tapa Painting I received as a gift when I was in Hawaii many many years ago. Me and a girlfriend went, 2 single girls turned loose on Honolulu, needless to say we had fun! The Tapa was done by a woman from the Island Kingdom of Tonga, unfortunately I never got her name.

Playing with Gelli Plates

Gelli plate printing, what is it....gelli plates are a soft pliable plate on which you put paint and then place a piece of paper to pull a print. Don't know if I explained it well. Anyway here a few of my prints I've recently created.

Has Spring Arrived?

Well the weather here in Las Vegas has been near perfect and thoughts of springtime and gardening have entered my head. It has also inspired me to start creating springtime cards, so here is my first for this year.

Must have been feeling beachy this week. I completed 3 blank note cards with the under the sea theme. I used watercolors to create the backgrounds and stamped images coloring with Copics. Thanks for taking a look!
