Playing with Gelli Printing

Here are two cards I recently created. The background was done with gelli printing...this is using whats called a gelli plate to do monoprints. I use acrylic paints for this printing techniques. This is getting pretty popular so I am experimenting with the technique. The bearprint card is the monoprint with no embellishment added to it and the feather card, I used watercolor pencils to enhance some of the background shapes and added the Tangle Feather chipboard piece from UmWow Studio.

CardMaking - Playing with backgrounds

About a month and a half ago I took an online class exploring and creating various background techniques to be used in cardmaking. Here are the results of some of the techniques. Starting with blending Ranger Inks with the blending tools for a ombrey look.

Then I used watercolors for background.


On these I used the blending technique but first heat embossed the card with the key designs then did blending over the embossed areas to create this design.
